Ordering & Personalisation

How do I place an order?

Choose the product (Framed Print or Printed Newspaper in a Scroll Tube), select size and options, enter the personalised text and images during checkout, review the digital proof (if applicable), then complete payment.

Can I see a proof before you print?

Yes. For personalised orders we provide a “live preview “ before you make the payment. Carefully check spelling, dates, photos and layout — once you make the payment and we start production changes, cancellations, or refunds are generally not possible.

What file types and image quality do you need for photos?

We accept high-resolution JPEG or PNG files. For best results, upload images at least 1500–2000 px on the longest side and avoid heavy compression

Products & Materials

What products do you sell?
  • Framed Print: A finished, ready-to-hang framed personalised newspaper.
  • Printed Newspaper (Scroll Tube): A rolled printed newspaper delivered in a protective scroll tube — great for gifting or display in a frame later.
What paper and inks do you use?

We print on museum-grade archival paper using pigment-based inks and high-end printers. This combination is designed to resist fading and provide exceptional tonal range and colour accuracy.

How long will the print last?

Our archival, museum-grade paper and pigment inks are resistant to fading for up to 100 years when displayed and cared for correctly (kept out of direct sunlight, low humidity, and framed under UV-protective glazing where possible).

What frame options are available?

We offer a selection of high-quality frames and mounts. Frame styles, colours, and glazing options are listed on the product page. If you have a specific framing request, contact us and we’ll see how we can help.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does production and shipping take?

Typical processing time for framed prints and personalised items is 1–2 business days after proof approval and payment. Shipping times depend on your location and chosen carrier; estimated delivery is shown at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we primarily ship within Australia. If you need international delivery, contact us with the destination and we’ll provide options and pricing.

Will I get tracking details?

Yes. Once your order dispatches you’ll receive an email with the carrier and tracking number so you can follow your parcel.

Care & Display

How should I display and care for my print?

To maximise longevity:

  • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Display in a stable, moderate-humidity environment.
  • Use UV-protective glazing in frames where possible.
  • Handle prints by the edges or wear clean gloves to avoid fingerprints.
Can I frame the scroll-tube newspaper later?

Yes — the printed newspaper in the scroll tube can be framed later. We recommend flat-mounting the paper under archival matting and UV glazing for display.

Returns, Reprints & Refunds

What if my print arrives damaged or defective?

Inspect your order on arrival. If your item is damaged, defective or materially different from your approved proof, email info@thebirthdayherald.com.au within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging. We will investigate and, if approved, offer a replacement, reprint, or refund.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Because items are personalised and made-to-order, we generally cannot offer refunds for change of mind after production has started or after you approve a digital proof. See our Refund Policy for details.

What if I provided incorrect personalization details?

We’re happy to help if you contact us before we start printing. Once production has begun, we may not be able to reprint or refund for errors you supplied.

How can I contact you?

Email: info@thebirthdayherald.com.au. Please include your order number and as much detail as possible so we can help quickly.
